I%26#039;m getting a bit annoyed at everything that is now in spanish and american translation, I really think that they should have to learn our language and our culture to be allowed to live here.

this pisses me off. when i buy macaroni and cheese, i don%26#039;t want to see the instructions in spanish. or when i%26#039;m channel surfing, be it on the radio or on tv, i don%26#039;t want to pass 10 spanish stations before i get to an english one.
this is america, and the language here is english. they need to learn it or get the eff out of the states. if i were going to germany, i would learn german. if i were going to france, i%26#039;d learn french. not only out of courtesy, but so i know i%26#039;m not getting ripped off and know what the hell is going on.
it%26#039;s nothing against other cultures, but if you%26#039;re going to be travelling to someplace else, learn their language. perhaps this is a touchy subject for me because my job requires that i deal with the public, and it gets very frustrating when half of the people come up to me and ask %26quot;habla espanol?%26quot; or they%26#039;re ballsy and just start talking to me in spanish. then we have to wait to get translation or i have to pull people from their customers to assist mine. and often times i see people that have been here for over a year, at least (i%26#039;ve known some to be here more than 30 years) and they don%26#039;t speak a lick of english! nor do they try. that%26#039;s what gets me the most. at least try.Should America change its culture for immigrants? or should they change themselves to live here?They should NOT. Having said that. I believe they should learn the language of the country they reside and not force the country to learn theirs. Its ok to speak multiple languages, with your family friends where ever whenever. It%26#039;s not ok to simply refuse to learn the national language. Corporations (and they are who are primarily doings this) don%26#039;t generally give that big a care that illegal immigrants are crossing our borders.
