How is the increasing racial and ethnic diversity in America changing American Politics?

Please dont answer %26quot;its not%26quot; Give some detail and explanation to your answer. I want to know what issues you think politicians have to consider concerning these issues? How is the increasing racial and ethnic diversity in America changing American Politics?I think it is diluting the American populace. It has become more important to be an %26quot;African American%26quot;, %26quot;Native American%26quot;, %26quot;Hispanic American%26quot;, %26quot;Christian American%26quot;, etc., than to just be an American. I think politicians need to consider the good of the American people--not by race or ethnicity, but as a whole nation. And this cannot happen when division is encouraged.

Take what happened with Hurricane Katrina. A big media story was the black people in New Orleans. Yes, what happened was awful. But does anybody think that NO other ethnic groups live in the deep south? Katrina hit three states, not just the city of New Orleans. But who is going to care about a white, middle class family who lost everything when there are tons of %26quot;minorities%26quot; being discriminated against? And what got lost in the shuffle was that the hurricane did very little damage to New Orleans - it was the levee breaks that destroyed the lower 9th ward.

But, I digress. A very wise former president said %26quot;A house divided against itself cannot stand.%26quot; 160 plus years ago. And it is true today. And I fear that this %26quot;diversity%26quot; is masquerading as %26quot;division%26quot;. Which will eventually spell %26quot;disaster%26quot;.How is the increasing racial and ethnic diversity in America changing American Politics? It is helping the strategy of confusion to distract the masses. Politics, racism, sexism, war, flag burning, homophobia, immigration, all of these are tools of distraction. The powers that be (USG, media, big business, etc.) need to keep the majority of citizens (working class) from getting together and realizing that we can force a change in this great nation. Just as Democraps are the same as Repukelicans, racial divides simply work against the masses to help an agenda of the elite and wealthy. Common sense dictates that since the majortiy of Americans are neither rich nor elite, their %26quot;representatives%26quot; in government should not be either. How is the increasing racial and ethnic diversity in America changing American Politics?I think this will help a lot to change for better, try to compare what united states is today to early 1960's especially in places like Mississippi state. The vested interest of whites and the bankers wont even let people get registered to vote ,Although united states claim to be democratic but still a lot of work has to be done before they are truly free.AND ETHNIC DIVERSITY WILL SURELY HELP.
