What are the things that Harriet Beecher Stowe love and feared in (changing) America?

she loved the frredom of speech that gave her the opportunity to write Uncle Tom's Cabin which helped open the eyes of the Northerners to the horrors of slavery in the South (and which probably played a significant part in bringing about the Civil War)



she probably also feared the same thing as it helped the rise of such abhorrent organisations as the Klu Klux Klan
