Why is it that America changes there language for everyone who comes to the states?

Don檛 get me wrong. I am glad to see people are trying to better there life but if they come here shouldn檛 they have to learn English instead of us having to learn there language? Why is it that America changes there language for everyone who comes to the states? This is the way I see it:

No one here is in the position of 'having to learn their language'

If what you mean is that people that can't speak English are often referred to a person who has learned the language of said foreigner then that is because that person has chosen to learn a foreign language or maybe because it is an advantage for their jobs, knowing other languages is a wonderful thing, I know four for example and no one forced me to do it, nor was i in the position of 'having' to.

I also agree that it is great to see that people come here to try to have a better lifestyle, but you also have to understand that if people come here to find new opportunities, but just that implies that maybe their lives weren't so great in their native countries. A persons capability to learn a new language decreases with time, meaning that age can be one of the biggest problems...or work which can consume most of anybody's time. But there is also people who do what is in their hands to learn the language because they want to be able to communicate, or do better in whatever activities they are involved in. I take much interest in this because I would just so happen to be one of those people. How was my English? I learned in about 4 months, and I believe I can speak it very well, and my accent does not get in the way at all. Also why don't you put yourself in that situation, if you were forced by necessity to migrate to a country where you know you can have better everything, I don't think you'd be very happy, and you'd also like places where you could speak in your language right?

It all depends on how much effort one puts into it.Why is it that America changes there language for everyone who comes to the states?First of all your misspelling of %26quot;their%26quot; makes me realize that schools here really should do a better job and I'm not even an English speaker as a first language for Gods' sake!, anyway, that aside I completely agree with you, this is the only country that does that! (and I hate it) in any other country in the world if you decide to go there that's your choice and nobody else's and the consequence is that you have to mold to the language conditions not the other way around and I have so much more to say about this, don't get me going... and by the way America is a continent, not this country! I am american and I wasn't born here! this country is called the United States of America. Why is it that America changes there language for everyone who comes to the states?Wait what? When did we change our national language to fit others? Last time I checked, English was still the national language. It's still taught in schools (not very well), and it's still used on government documents.

Also, you should learn English before worrying about others. You misspelled %26quot;their%26quot; in your question. You should have used %26quot;their%26quot;, because it implies ownership, while %26quot;there%26quot; generally implies a location.
