What songs by The Who had to do with the change of America in the 60's? Or what did The Who have to do with it?

Are there any songs that interpret the way America had changed in the 60's by the band, The Who? Or any songs that The Who made because of the change of America in the 60's? This is a part of a topic, the British Invasion and my group chose the music they played in the 60's that either impacted the change of America, or portrayed it. Any meaningful songs by The Who would be great. What songs by The Who had to do with the change of America in the 60's? Or what did The Who have to do with it?The Who were very very English and their early music in the 60s reflected the youth, culture and attitudes in England at the time. They were influenced by American music (rock, blues, R%26amp;B) but had little interest in the political and social changes in America. For example, at Woodstock, there was a famous incident where Abbie Hoffman jumped on stage to talk politics during their set -- Pete Townshend hit him with his guitar and told him 'get the f--- off my stage.'

They weren't really well-known in America until around 1970, and by then their songs were usually based on stories. Won't Get Fooled Again, which came out in 1971, might be the closest you can get -- and that's about the idea that there was a big revolution and nothing actually changed. What songs by The Who had to do with the change of America in the 60's? Or what did The Who have to do with it?I know %26quot;My Generation%26quot; was really popular back then(still is today). Just look up some info on them, there is plenty out there. What songs by The Who had to do with the change of America in the 60's? Or what did The Who have to do with it?Baba O'reiley
