do you consider America being a melting pot? America is full of different cultures, religions, and races. Has America change meaning i know there more racism besides blacks, but also in other heritage like hispanic,jews,chinese..etc in america. do they have equal rights like everyone else in America or are they treated differently. Is america a melting pot....what do you think?Yes, there are certain areas where it is a true melting pot where everyone just lives their lives in harmony. There are other areas where it's more separate and that is how it's always been.
Legally, equal rights apply to everyone (well, except gay folks who are openly discriminated against still for wanting marriage in a loving relationship).
Practically, there's a long way to go to get everyone actively believing and using the equal rights laws because they know them to be right. It's generally someone who is a separatist and in power that has issue with being fair to all. Sad but true.
Racism- it's ridiculously rampant in some areas. Others feel joking is still %26quot;ok%26quot;. Still others are violent about their racist beliefs. The only people that don't really believe racism is alive and functioning daily are the ones who aren't discriminated against. They just don't %26quot;get it%26quot; and don't wish to.
But, having written all of this- there are lovely areas, really. Is america a melting pot....what do you think?I read somewhere that America is more of a mixed salad than a melting pot, and I think that statement is mostly accurate. Is america a melting pot....what do you think?honestly i don't think any race besides the blacks can complain about how they are treated in america. all of these people came here by choice whereas the african americans were forced here. If you don't like it go back to your home country because you know exactly where you came from. Black americans don't have that advantage.
to answer your question yes it is a melting pot we can't stand each other but we are all stuck in this big pot we all call the usa
