For one, don't you value your own money? Why is it fair for people who earn over $250,000 a year to be taxed higher? Because they have more? That's like punishing someone for working harder. And what Obama neglects to tell you is that he will tax small businesses making over $250,000 more as well. The fact is that most small businesses make at least that much a year, and when they don't have as much to pay their employees, jobs will start getting cut. I'm not saying taxes shouldn't necessarily be raised. I'm not saying they should necessarily be lowered either. I'm just saying that if you're going to tax anyone, you should tax them all the same percentage.
Obama's social health care is a terrible idea too. Everyone deserves health care, but Obama wants to subsidize it so everyone gets government money to pay for health care costs. This raises taxes for one, and lowers the quality of the health care system, as there's no free competition. Look at Canada. They have a terrible health care system.
We are not a purely capitalist country, like most people think. We have market regulations. If we were freely capitalist, everything would probably be owned by one giant company. But socialism is not the answer either. After all, when everyone has the same amount of money, why would they have any desire to work harder? Take Italy's economy for example. They are essentially a socialist nation. Their economy has been on a coasting standstill for years now because there's no drive to progress.
